On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, REF returned to Tashua Knolls
for yet another fabulous holiday party. We were, as usual, loud and boisterous,
a mix of members in all stages of retirement AND a few working staff members. Though we wish more of our working staff could join us, it is very difficult, with their work load and time constraints, for them to attend. We look forward to the day when they can join our group.
Delicious food, wonderful holiday music on the keyboard
and a raffle. This year's raffle was volunteered by
and her band of merry helpers:
Barbara Coord, Jean Cooper, Deb Magrone, Jan Jacobs, Franklyn McClean,
Carolyn Miller and
Thanks to this merry troupe, we had balloons, balloons, balloons all over the place and, for each balloon purchased, a prize was awarded (prizes were FABULOUS!!!) and our REF scholarship fund grew.
Not only did our generous members buy up all of the balloons
, but they continued donating after all of the balloons were all sold. This fun raffle netted all of us a lot of fun
AND $390 for our REF
Many thanks to Amy Dezenzo, Cissy Hudzik, Nancy Tarzanin and
for putting it all together.
Guests lingered right up to the end and didn’t seem to want to leave.
It was so nice to see everyone and especially
nice that we had some members whom we haven’t seen for a while.
If you couldn't make it, the photos tell the
story, and we hope you will come next year.
