Thursday, September 12, 2019, Retired Educators of Fairfield held
its annual "Welcome Back" breakfast to honor the newly retired at
Tashua Knolls in Trumbull. More than 60 members and newly retired came
out to celebrate.
All of our new retirees http://www.refblog.org/318550901 could
not be present, but those who were able to come took to the microphone and
shared some of their plans for this new phase of their lives. Plans included
travel, community service, 2nd careers and just spending some time
on the sofa hanging out with the dog.
All were looking forward to their futures with enthusiasm.
As usual, the food and atmosphere at Tashua were excellent, and
the
weather
couldn't have been better, a classic Fall day. It was great to be alive and in
the company of so many wonderful people.
Thanks to Amy Dezenzo, Cissy Hudzik and Nancy Tarzanin, the
members of our Activities committee, for putting together yet another wonderful
“Welcome Back” breakfast.
